I am an 18 year old fourth generation New Zealander. I love being a New Zealander as this magnificently beautiful country provides many opportunities and experiences in the culturally diverse communities spread across New Zealand.

I grew up on a 60 acre farm in south east Auckland, spending my childhood raising pet lambs and chickens, and enjoying many outdoor activities around the farm. Through this I have developed a great love of the outdoors, enjoying many activities including tramping, surfing and fishing. I am currently studying at Auckland University completing a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Economics and Finance.

I have always had a passion for helping people and giving back, which is why I entered in Miss Auckland 2016 and I have the honour of winning. I found that this platform has provided me with the backing to make a difference. Through this I have become involved with many charities such as Alzheimers NZ as well as Womens Refuge and I continue supporting Ronald McDonald House.
In support of Alzheimers NZ I have enjoyed making presentations to various rest homes. I believe that our elderly are often forgotten and all it takes is a small investment of time with a group of these people and it will brighten their day.

Along with working with these charities, I have been educating people and promoting Miss World’s ethos “Beauty with a Purpose” to reinforce the importance of charity work and fundraising. I have presented to primary schools, high schools and twice to the Rotary Club of Half Moon Bay.

As a Miss World New Zealand finalist in which I have been given the chance to support another charity, Project Hope. This amazing charity has taught me so much about the hardship that some youths can go through in NZ. I hope that I have helped to impress on them to stay motivated and to take advantage of every opportunity to achieve their goals.

Miss World New Zealand has given me the opportunity to develop myself further. By doing this I have learnt new talents, networked with new companies and people, and fundraised in new and inventive ways.
